Inspiring Quotes on Writing

* “When you finish a draft of a poem, or short story, or novel, you make sure you go out and celebrate all night long because whether the world over notices or not, whether you get it published or not, you did something most people never do: you started, stuck with, and finished a creative work. and that is a triumph.” Andre DubusĀ III

*”All writing problems are psychological problems. blocks usually stem from the fear of being judged. if you imagine the world listening, you’ll never write a line. that’s why privacy is so important. you should write first drafts as if they will never be shown to anyone.” Erica Jong

*”Success is a finished book, a stack of pages each of which is filled with words. if you reach that point, you have won a victory over yourself no less impressive than sailing single-handed around the world.” Tom Clancy

*”One of the really bad things you can do to your writing is to dress up the vocabulary, looking for the long words because you’re maybe a little bit ashamed of your short ones.” Stephen King

*”Writing is something you do alone. it’s a profession for introverts who want to tell you a storybut don’t want to make eye contact while doing it.: John Green

The Missing Sun!

The sun of winter
Had missed its workday,
And some people as being careless
About its shining ray
Lighted scented candles
Till the next day.
The next day came.
And the strange situation
Stayed the same.
The whole season
Candles kept burning
Till lost their essence,
And still those people
Didn’t pay attention
To the dropped blinds!

Conspiracy of Love!

The scent of your love
Through winter cold air
Flirts with curls on my cheeks,
And morning breeze conspires
To capture my free heart.
Before, I wondered
How people could be drifted away
By the stream of love
After standing erect
On the solid ground
With strong determination,
But now, I myself cut the strings
To reality,
Heedless, to drown
In the deep sea of love!

Question Marks

The horizon is full of
Question marks,
But not a sign
Of any answer,
And every passing second
Makes me
More puzzled.

Perhaps the answers
Were loaded
Into a passing cloud
Which I missed!
Perhaps they were hidden
Beyond the grey sky
Of January!
Or perhaps I got
Enough answers
That aroused within me
More questions!
